Suites
The Venetian’s defining feature is that every room is a suite. Standard layouts put the bed on a raised platform with a sunken living room below, typically with a sofa that converts into an extra bed, a large desk and a second television. For the price of a standard room at many neighbors, you get something close to double the floor space.
The resort spans three towers, The Venetian, the Venezia and The Palazzo, with more than 7,000 suites in total. The owners have been working through a large refurbishment program since taking over in 2022, and refreshed suites are brighter and more contemporary than the older, heavily ornamented style. Ask which tower and renovation phase you are booked into.
Dining
Dining is extensive, with French bistro cooking, steakhouses from well-known chefs, upscale Chinese, Italian and an all-day café that seems to be open whenever you need it. The canal-side shopping arcade adds dozens of casual options. Quality is strong at the top end, though some of the mid-range options feel designed for volume.
Spa & pool
The pool deck has been redeveloped into a collection of distinct pools with cabanas and a party-leaning area in season. The resort’s spa and fitness facility is one of the largest in the city, with an extensive gym, climbing wall and treatment menu, and it remains a genuine reason to stay.
Service
At this scale, service can feel procedural, and check-in lines at The Venetian tower build quickly when conventions arrive. Staff are generally courteous and well informed, and the Palazzo lobby is usually calmer. Poker room staff are among the most experienced tournament teams in the world, which shows in how smoothly big series run.
Location
The Venetian sits on the center-north Strip opposite Treasure Island and a short walk from The Mirage site, Harrah’s and The LINQ. A pedestrian bridge connects it to the Sphere, and the resort’s own convention and expo halls make it the natural base during trade shows. Wynn and Encore are a pleasant walk north.

Two linked casino floors, an enormous tournament-friendly poker room, a strong table mix and newly expanded high-limit gaming. Size occasionally dilutes atmosphere, but for poker volume nothing on the Strip competes.
The casino floors
The resort operates two connected casino floors, one in The Venetian and one in The Palazzo, with painted ceilings and Venetian detailing on one side and a more contemporary look on the other. Aisles are wide and ceilings high, so even at busy times it rarely feels claustrophobic.
The trade-off is atmosphere. The floors are so large that energy dissipates, and the flow of shoppers heading to the canals can make parts of the casino feel like a thoroughfare. Players who like a concentrated buzz should head to the busier table pits near the main entrances.
Games & table limits
Table variety is excellent: extensive blackjack and craps, roulette, baccarat and mini-baccarat, Asian table games including pai gow, and a rotating mix of carnival games. The slot floors are huge and cover everything from penny video reels to high-denomination machines, with a healthy video poker presence.
Because of its size, The Venetian often keeps more lower-minimum tables open than its center-Strip neighbors, particularly across the two floors combined. Check the placard before you sit, and remember that minimums rise on weekend nights and during major events.
Poker room & sportsbook
The poker room is the headline. Located on level 2 of The Palazzo, it features 50 tables across around 14,000 square feet and is open 24 hours. The resort’s long-running tournament series draws huge fields several times a year, and cash games run from low-stakes hold’em through to larger mixed games. Rated players earn hourly poker rewards at the time of writing, and suite rates tied to poker play are offered.
A race and sportsbook operates on the casino floor with big screens and kiosks, and it is a comfortable place to follow a game, although it lacks the sheer spectacle of the Caesars book.
High-limit gaming
High-limit gaming has been a focus of recent investment, with an expanded high-limit area and new lounge spaces. Baccarat is the centerpiece, supported by high-limit blackjack and slots, and the rooms are well staffed and properly separated from the main floor.

Rules are clearly displayed, and the resort publishes how its loyalty program earns points: at the time of writing, Venetian Rewards awards points on slot and video poker coin-in, rates table play on average bet and time, and also counts hotel and dining spend.
